Matt has travelled the world with his music previously living six years in Kentucky USA touring countless cities and towns including many shows in Nashville Tennessee. He spent three years as owner operator of the much-loved Jolly Roger pirate themed restaurant on Norfolk Island performing and entertaining his guests.
Matt currently lives on the Mid Nth Coast of N.S.W. where teaches music for The Australian Children’s Music Foundation founded by Don Spencer (OAM). Matt teaches music to over 250 children per week in four schools under the wing of the program that brings music tuition to children who would never ordinarily have the chance. As Program Manager for the Mid Coast NSW, he enjoys working to bring awareness of the ACMF and of the dire need for young people to access a music education.
Matt has had a huge career spanning 42 years rarely a week that he is not performing somewhere. When he slings his now 31-year-old Maton guitar over his shoulder and winds it up you know you’re about to hear something very different.
